Malaria ,typhoid,parasite malaria for diabetic patient?

Brain malaria is very dangerous (20% mortality). If he survives all these illnesses, there is a chance of a malaria recurrence even years later. I've only read that malaria can cause hypoglycemia in insulin-dependent diabetics. Haven't heard of other complications.
