What is the difference between a parasite and a pathogen?

parasite is an organism which depend on others for its survival to get food. because it can't make its food so it take dissolved food from others organism[host]. pathogen is an organism which cause diseases into organisms.parasite not always harm the host. sometime it harms sometime not. but pathogens always harm.
