Is it sufficient to remove impurities that are visible?

I am going to apply your question in a broader sense to Islam. No, it is not sufficient to remove the visible impurities. We must remove the hidden and unseen ones as well. We cannot uncorrupt Islam if we don't examine our hearts and minds and root out the invisible impurities (the ego problem) that keep us from accepting greater truth.
