How do I go about finding a speaker for my event?

I'm holding an event for raising malaria awareness and I was wanting a speaker that has witnessed what it can do to a community or had it himself/herself. I think it would really help out the cause. How do I find a person like this in Oklahoma? I would appreciate no negative feedback. Thanks! :)
