Hemoglobin treatment?

I have a friend who has hemoglobin treatment. It gets injected slowly into them through a box that lies in their chest. The treatment is to ease motor nerve problems. If they don't have it there legs and hands go weak and there basically useless. I was recently told that if they were to have travel vacinations such as Hep A typhoid malaria tablets then it would basically wipe out there treatment and it would no longer work. Is there any truth in this would like to hear from people in the know cheers !
